Dr. Eric Holshouser, PT, DPT, MBA, Venture Physiology Founder
Eric Holshouser is the founder of Venture Physiology, a system born from his commitment to grounding leadership in scientific wisdom and the biological systems that support our full human potential. With a background in engineering, movement science, and business—and a passion for translating science into practical application—Eric bridges the worlds of movement, brain function, and leadership. Unlike traditional leadership models that often overlook the physiological systems essential for human excellence, Venture Physiology begins at the source—our biology. Eric believes that to meet the defining challenges of the 21st century—from the rise of AI to the accelerating pace of change in business and society—leaders must reconnect with their core human design. Only then can they build institutions with the wisdom, intellect, and integrity needed to foster trust in an increasingly complex world. Venture Physiology exists to help leaders reclaim this foundation—so they can lead not just effectively, but humanely.
In addition to founding Venture Physiology, Eric is an Adjunct Professor in Emory’s School of Medicine and founded the Physiology Leadership Program at Goizueta Business School. He graduated with a dual MBA/Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and School of Medicine in 2021, receiving awards for academic excellence, leadership, and clinical excellence, as well as the MBA Outstanding Achievement Award during his graduate studies at Emory.
Eric has notable presentation experience, including a full-day seminar on Personal Wellness and Decision-Making for army officers at Fort Stewart Army Base as part of the United States Army Foundational Training Day. He has also delivered platform and poster presentations on topics such as “The Application of Machine Learning to NFL Injury Prediction” and “Addressing Doctor of Physical Therapy Student Well-Being with a Peer-LED Goal-Setting and Habit Formation Program” at the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in 2020 and 2022. In 2019, he presented a poster on “Student-Led Initiatives: Integrating Sustainability Concepts into Physical Therapy Education” at the APTA CSM in Washington DC. His work in this area was recognized with an Education Influencer Award and a Social Responsibility Award at the 2020 APTA CSM.
Prior to his time at Emory University, Eric was employed as a civil engineer after receiving a ME and BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
